Outdoor winter activities in Val di Fassa

Thanks to the uniqueness of this beautiful region, Moena can also, and especially, be considered a tourist paradise in winter; above all, skiing in Val di Fassa permits you to choose a different skiing area every day according to individual needs. For example, more experienced and accomplished skiers can enjoy the splendid slopes of Giro dei 4 passi, Giro della Grande Guerra, La Marmolada “Queen of the Dolomites” at 3340 m, the Catinaccio/Rosengarten Ski Area or, last but not least, the wonderful ski slopes closer to Moena, surrounded by breath-taking landscapes such as the “Trevalli” Ski Area, home to the Lusia Alps and San Pellegrino Pass, or, only a few kilometres away in Val di Fiemme, the Latemar Ski Center and the Cermis Alps.

For those who love and seek snow activities in the magnificent Trentino Dolomites, Val di Fassa offers the opportunity of enjoying many and diverse types of winter sports: snowboarding, carving, ice skating, Nordic walking, snowshoe hiking (also by Moonlight), Nordic skiing, Alpine skiing and cross-country skiing on 50 kilometres of slopes divided into trails with varying degrees of difficulty.

For lovers of this discipline there is the not-to-miss ski event Marcialonga, the most important and famous cross-country skiing race in Italy, which passes through the Fassa and Fiemme valleys. The event has already celebrated its 40th anniversary and has always drawn crowds of people and participants ...a combination of competitiveness, folklore and lots of fun!
